Rehabilitation transport to Bavaria and the Allgäu
We drive to every rehabilitation clinic in Bavaria and the Allgäu – the nearest are about an hour away, Bad Wörishofen a good hour and a half, and anything further is no reason for us to say no. Brenz Taxi handles the arrival trip and the collection – with luggage, and with breaks whenever you need them.

The Allgäu is closer than many people think
It is 60 kilometres to Krumbach, 99 to Bad Grönenbach, 119 to Bad Wörishofen. Along the A7 and the A96 these are predictable routes without city traffic. Further east – Bad Aibling, Bad Füssing – it becomes half a day's journey, and then we plan it that way.
Arrival trip and collection – what is included
- Luggage for four to five weeks. Suitcase, bag, walking aid, sometimes an oxygen unit. We load and unload, you carry nothing.
- As far as the clinic's reception desk. Not just to the car park – we bring you and your luggage inside.
- We book the return collection at the same time. The discharge date is usually already in the letter; the time of day can stay open.
- Breaks whenever you need them. On routes over an hour and a half we stop whenever you need to.
Health insurer or pension fund – we clear that up beforehand
Health insurer
Responsible for follow-up rehabilitation after a hospital stay and for medical rehabilitation for people who are no longer in working life. The co-payment of 10 per cent, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip, still applies.
Pension insurance
Responsible for rehabilitation aimed at preserving your ability to work. The German pension insurance fund reimburses travel costs under its own rules, as a rule against receipts. Here too we take care of the paperwork.
Who pays is stated in your approval letter. Show it to us on your first call – we will then tell you what needs doing and obtain the approval.
Seated – and what that means
Our vehicles are set up for seated transport. A walking aid, rollator, oxygen unit and folding wheelchair travel with you. If you cannot be transported seated, please tell us when we first arrange the appointment – we then organise the trip through a partner firm or point you to the right place, rather than leaving you stranded on the day.

How far is the nearest rehabilitation clinic from Giengen?
About 54 minutes for 60 kilometres to Krumbach. From Heidenheim it is 83 kilometres and about an hour. We drive to clinics further away just the same.
Do you also drive as far as Oberstdorf?
Yes. About 167 kilometres from Giengen, just under two hours. On this route we build in a break.
I am insured in Bavaria but live in Württemberg.
That is everyday work for us. We bill with all statutory health insurers, whichever federal state they are based in.
Who arranges the travel-cost approval?
We do. You hand us the approval letter and the prescription and we take care of the rest – with the pension fund as well.
Can I know in advance what the trip will cost?
Yes. If the insurer pays, it is the statutory co-payment. If not, we quote you a fixed price beforehand – not an invoice afterwards.
