Transport to chemotherapy at the oncological day clinic in Heidenheim
An infusion often takes four to six hours, and afterwards nobody likes to drive themselves. Brenz Taxi takes you to your oncology treatment at Klinikum Heidenheim, Schloßhaustraße 100, and picks you up again after the infusion – 17 minutes from Giengen, 11 from Herbrechtingen.

The trip there and back from one service
With chemotherapy it is not the drive that gets in the way, but the question of who takes you there and who picks you up again afterwards. Relatives take time off work, and a normal taxi is often no longer available after the appointment. We handle both – the trip there and the trip back from a single service.
- We take you there and bring you back. When it is coming to an end, just message us on WhatsApp or give us a quick call – or the practice lets us know, usually about half an hour beforehand. We pick you up right on time.
- Or we come back at the agreed time. That works too. You decide once how you prefer it.
- Do not drive yourself after an infusion. Nausea and circulation trouble often set in only on the way home. That is precisely what the prescription is for.
- As far as the reception desk, not just to the kerb. If you like, we come inside with you and sit with you until you are called.
- A companion travels free of charge. We only need to know in advance who is coming along.
- The same driver wherever possible. Over six months of treatment that is worth more than any glossy brochure.
Prescription, approval, co-payment
- Prescription: Form Muster 4, issued for the whole series – not per trip. Your treating practice issues it.
- Approval: Oncological chemotherapy counts as a high-frequency treatment, box 1d on the form. It requires approval, but insurers grant it as a matter of course for this indication. We obtain the approval for you.
- Co-payment: 10 per cent of the fare, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip. Children under 18 pay nothing.
- Co-payment exemption: With a long series of trips the annual cap is reached quickly. After that you pay nothing at all – applying to your insurer is almost always worth it.
- Billing: directly with your health insurer. You pay nothing up front.
- Accompanying appointments count too: Blood count check, port flush, follow-up consultation. These trips are part of the series – tell us about them too and they go into the same schedule.

What we drive – and what we do not
- Seated passengers. A folding wheelchair and a rollator come along.
- If you have to stay in your wheelchair, we arrange the trip through our partner firm – one call to us is enough.
- We do not carry out stretcher transports or carry-chair transfers down stairs.

My appointment was moved this morning. Is that a problem?
No. One call is enough. Changes because of the blood count are the rule, not the exception.
May my husband come along and stay the whole time?
Yes, free of charge. We only want to know in advance that he is coming along.
