Dialysis transport to the MVZ Nephrology at Klinikum Heidenheim
Brenz Taxi takes you to dialysis at Klinikum Heidenheim, Schloßhaustraße 100, three times a week. From Heidenheim you are there in four minutes, from Giengen in seventeen. Fixed times for your shift, the same driver wherever possible, and we obtain the approval from your insurer.

A short route does not mean an easy one
From Heidenheim it is four minutes, from Steinheim eleven. Short trips like these are exactly where things get unreliable: a two-kilometre fare is not an attractive job for many dispatch offices, and anyone who has to be on time for a shift three times a week cannot depend on it. With us your trip is in the schedule like any other.
- Your dialysis times are fixed in our schedule. Days of the week, time, address – taken down once, and after that you never have to book again.
- Early shift on request. If your dialysis starts before 06:30, we arrange it once and it holds for good.
- We wait. Or we collect you at the agreed time – whichever you prefer. You do not have to call.
- After treatment your circulation is weak. We collect you at the entrance, not at the car park.
- We come inside with you, if you would like that or you are not feeling well that day.
Costs, prescription, approval
- Prescription: A Muster 4 form from your nephrologist, issued for a longer period – not per trip.
- Approval: Dialysis is a high-frequency treatment, box 1d on the form. It requires approval, but is granted in practically every case. We obtain the approval for you.
- Co-payment: 10 per cent of the fare, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip.
- Co-payment exemption: With three trips a week the annual cap is reached quickly. After that you pay nothing more – applying for the exemption is worth it.
- Billing: directly with your health insurer. You pay nothing up front.

What we drive – and what we do not
- Seated passengers. A folding wheelchair and a rollator come along.
- If you have to stay in your wheelchair, we arrange the trip through our partner firm – one call to us is enough.
- We do not carry out stretcher transports or carry-chair transfers down stairs.

How long does the trip from Giengen to dialysis in Heidenheim take?
About 17 minutes for 12.8 kilometres. We pull up at your door 25 minutes before your shift begins.
Is a taxi even worth it for a four-minute trip?
For you it is – three times a week for years, in all weathers and feeling weak afterwards. With us the trip is permanently in the schedule and not an occasional job.
Does my health insurer pay for the dialysis trip?
Yes. Dialysis is the high-frequency treatment par excellence. You need a prescription (Muster 4), and we obtain the approval. The co-payment of 10 per cent, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip, still applies.
I also have radiotherapy appointments at the hospital. Can you handle both?
Yes, and it is the same destination – Schloßhaustraße 100. We plan dialysis and radiotherapy appointments together so that the times do not clash.
Do you also drive on Saturdays?
Yes. Many dialysis shifts fall on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Saturdays we are on the road from 09:00, and earlier times by prior arrangement.
