Dialysis transport to the NephroCare kidney centre in Aalen
For Königsbronn, Steinheim, Nattheim and Heidenheim the way to dialysis often leads onto the Ostalb. Brenz Taxi takes you to the NephroCare MVZ at the Ostalb-Klinikum, Im Kälblesrain 2, three times a week – 17 minutes from Königsbronn.

15 kilometres from Königsbronn, 24 from Steinheim, 26 from Heidenheim. If you live in the north of the district, your dialysis place is often in Aalen – reached along the B19 through the Brenz valley, a route we drive every day.
- Three fixed appointments a week. Taken down once, and after that we take care of it.
- Winter route. The route via Königsbronn and Oberkochen is demanding in snow. We then plan to set off earlier without you having to ask.
- We wait or collect you at a fixed time – whichever you prefer.
- Pick-up at the entrance, not at the car park. After dialysis every metre counts.
- We obtain the approval with your health insurer.
Costs, prescription, approval
- Prescription: A Muster 4 form from your nephrologist, issued for a longer period – not per trip.
- Approval: Dialysis is a high-frequency treatment, box 1d on the form. It requires approval, but is granted in practically every case. We obtain the approval for you.
- Co-payment: 10 per cent of the fare, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip.
- Co-payment exemption: With three trips a week the annual cap is reached quickly. After that you pay nothing more – applying for the exemption is worth it.
- Billing: directly with your health insurer. You pay nothing up front.

What we drive – and what we do not
- Seated passengers. A folding wheelchair and a rollator come along.
- If you have to stay in your wheelchair, we arrange the trip through our partner firm – one call to us is enough.
- We do not carry out stretcher transports or carry-chair transfers down stairs.

How long does the trip from Königsbronn to Aalen take?
About 17 minutes for 15.6 kilometres – the shortest way to a dialysis centre from there. We pull up at your door 25 minutes before your shift begins.
I also have appointments at the Ostalb-Klinikum. Can that be done in one day?
Yes. The kidney centre is right by the hospital. Tell us both appointments and we arrange the trip so that you only travel once.
Do you drive across the Alb in snow as well?
Yes. In winter we allow more time and set off correspondingly earlier – you do not have to do anything about it.
Does my insurer pay even though Aalen is not my district?
What counts is the nearest suitable place of treatment, not the district boundary. Where your dialysis place is, is decided by the centre – and we obtain the approval to match.
What does the ride cost me?
The co-payment: 10 per cent of the fare, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip. With a co-payment exemption, nothing.
