Transport to the radiotherapy unit in Neu-Ulm, Edisonallee
The radiotherapy unit on Edisonallee sits on the edge of Neu-Ulm, with its own access road and no sprawling hospital campus around it – for many people more pleasant than the Obere Eselsberg. From Niederstotzingen it is 30 minutes, from Giengen 31. Brenz Taxi drives the whole series at a fixed time.

Anyone who has ever hunted for a parking space on the Obere Eselsberg knows why this matters: on Edisonallee we stop right at the entrance, and the way from the car to the reception desk is short and level. With daily appointments over six weeks, that is exactly the difference between exhausting and manageable.
- The same time throughout the series. Entered once, and after that it runs without a call.
- Via the A7 and the B10. We know both routes – depending on the time of day we take the more reliable one, not the shorter one.
- Waiting is part of it. Even if the appointment runs late, our car stays put.
- We come inside with you, if you would like that or you are not feeling well that day – as far as the reception desk, and into the waiting room if need be.
- A companion costs nothing. Please still let us know in advance that someone is coming along.
- Combined with appointments in Ulm. Chemotherapy on Olgastraße, a check-up at the university hospital, radiotherapy in Neu-Ulm – tell us everything and we will make one day of it instead of three.
Prescription, approval, co-payment
- Prescription: Form Muster 4, issued for the whole series – not per trip. Your treating practice issues it.
- Approval: Outpatient radiotherapy counts as a high-frequency treatment, box 1d on the form. It requires approval, but insurers grant it as a matter of course for this indication. We obtain the approval for you.
- Co-payment: 10 per cent of the fare, at least 5 and at most 10 euros per trip. Children under 18 pay nothing.
- Co-payment exemption: With a long series of trips the annual cap is reached quickly. After that you pay nothing at all – applying to your insurer is almost always worth it.
- Billing: directly with your health insurer. You pay nothing up front.

Seated – and what that means
Our vehicles are set up for seated transport. A walking aid, rollator, oxygen unit and folding wheelchair travel with you. If you cannot be transported seated, please tell us when we first arrange the appointment – we then organise the trip through a partner firm or point you to the right place, rather than leaving you stranded on the day.

Neu-Ulm or Ulm University Hospital – which is better for me?
Your referral determines that. In driving terms the two are about equally far; on Edisonallee the walk from the car to the door is shorter.
I am insured in Bavaria and live in Württemberg – or the other way round.
Both are straightforward. We bill directly with all statutory health insurers, regardless of the federal state.
Do I get a new prescription for every trip?
No. One Muster 4 form covers the whole series. When it runs out, we let you know in good time.
Can I cancel individual appointments without losing the series?
Yes. One call is enough, and the remaining appointments stay exactly as they are.
